Welcome to Falar-Falar. These Terms and Conditions govern your enrollment and participation in all Falar-Falar programs and products. By booking a Discovery Call, purchasing a digital product, paying an invoice, or participating in any Falar-Falar session, you agree to abide by the terms outlined below.

Falar-Falar does not provide certified academic degrees, nor are we a preparation center for official government language examinations (such as CIPLE). Our focus is exclusively on functional, real-world conversational skills.
2. Payments and Billing
Sprint Programs
To guarantee commitment and reserve your spot, Falar-Falar operates on a pre-payment schedule.
- Payment Deadlines: All monthly installment payments are due by the 1st of every month. If payment is not received before the first scheduled session of the month, your spot may be forfeited to a student on the waitlist.
- Accepted Methods: MBWay, Wise, Revolut, or direct Bank Transfer (SEPA). Cash payments are not accepted.
- Upfront Payment: Clients who choose the upfront option must pay the full discounted balance before the first session commences. Upfront prices are as follows:
- Private Resident Track: €900 for the full 15 weeks (saving €60 vs. monthly billing).
- Private Digital Track: €700 for the full 15 weeks (saving €40 vs. monthly billing).
- The Online Squad does not offer an upfront discount.
Alumni Membership
- The Alumni Membership is billed monthly at €49 / month, on the same date each month following enrollment.
- Accepted payment methods are the same as Sprint Programs.
- Members may cancel at any time by providing 7 days’ written notice before the next billing date. No partial-month refunds are issued.
Digital Products
- The Silver Coast Survival Kit (PDF) and the Arrival Prep Mini-Course are sold at the prices listed on the website at the time of purchase.
- Payment is processed at the time of purchase. Access or delivery is provided immediately upon confirmed payment.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
A. The Online Squad (Group Sessions)
- Group classes are fixed events scheduled at the start of each cohort. No refunds or credits are provided for missed group sessions.
- If a student misses a session, they will not fall behind. The PDF lesson notes and a recording of the session will be provided to review independently.
- If a student withdraws from the Squad mid-program, their spot will not be refilled for the remainder of that cohort. Monthly fees already paid for the current month are non-refundable. No further charges will be raised following written notice of withdrawal.
B. Private Coaching (Resident & Digital Tracks)
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a private session.
- Cancellations or reschedule requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. No makeup session will be provided.
- If Falar-Falar needs to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, a makeup session will be scheduled at the client’s earliest convenience at no extra charge.
C. Digital Products
- Due to the immediate nature of digital delivery, no refunds are offered on the Silver Coast Survival Kit PDF or the Arrival Prep Mini-Course once purchase is complete and access has been granted.
- If you experience a technical issue accessing your purchase, contact us and we will resolve it promptly.
4. Punctuality
- Sessions are 55 minutes in duration.
- If a client arrives late to an in-person or online session, the session will still end at the scheduled time to respect the schedule of subsequent clients. No extension or makeup will be provided for client-caused lateness.
- For online sessions, the coach will wait for 15 minutes in the Zoom room. If the client does not join within 15 minutes, it will be considered a no-show and the session will be forfeited without refund or credit.
5. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
All materials provided by Falar-Falar — including but not limited to the physical Survival Binder, digital PDF cheat sheets, session reports, recorded videos, and digital products — are the exclusive intellectual property of Falar-Falar.
- These materials are provided for your personal learning use only.
- You may not copy, distribute, share, sell, or republish these materials to or for third parties in any format.
- The Arrival Prep Mini-Course grants the purchaser lifetime personal access to the recorded content. This access is non-transferable.
6. WhatsApp Lifeline
The WhatsApp Lifeline is a real-world support feature included with specific programs. It is not an extension of coaching sessions. It exists to help clients get through situations in the field — not to replace the work done in sessions.
6.1 Eligibility
The WhatsApp Lifeline is available to:
- Active Private Resident Track clients (for the duration of their enrolled Sprint).
- Active Private Digital Track clients (for the duration of their enrolled Sprint).
- Active Alumni Membership subscribers (for the duration of their active membership).
The WhatsApp Lifeline is not included in the Online Squad.
6.2 Operating Hours
The WhatsApp Lifeline operates Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 Portugal time, excluding Portuguese public holidays.
- Responses will be provided within 4 business hours of a message received during operating hours.
- Messages received outside operating hours (evenings, weekends, public holidays) will be answered on the next available business day. No response is guaranteed outside operating hours.
- The Lifeline is not an emergency service. For medical emergencies, call 112.
6.3 What the Lifeline Is For
The Lifeline covers situational, in-the-moment needs only. Qualifying requests include:
- Translation of a physical item the client is looking at right now: a supermarket label, utility bill, handwritten note, sign, menu, or form.
- Quick pronunciation check immediately before an interaction: “Am I saying this correctly?” with a short voice note.
- Comprehension check immediately after an interaction: “The pharmacist just said something — did they mean X?”
- Emergency phrase needed for an interaction happening now: “I’m at the hardware store, how do I ask for a specific type of screw?”
Text messages and photos are accepted. Short voice notes (under 30 seconds) are accepted.
6.4 What the Lifeline Is Not For
The following are outside the scope of the Lifeline and will be redirected to the next scheduled session:
- Grammar explanations or questions about rules.
- Vocabulary lists or study requests.
- Drafting full letters, emails, or documents in Portuguese on the client’s behalf.
- Questions that are not time-sensitive and can wait for the next session.
- Any request that requires more than 2–3 short sentences to answer adequately.
- Conversation practice or any interaction that functions as an unscheduled lesson.
If a message falls outside this scope, Ana will acknowledge it and confirm it will be addressed in the next session.
6.5 Fair Use
To ensure the Lifeline remains a useful, sustainable service for all clients:
- Clients may send a maximum of 3 Lifeline messages per day.
- Each message should relate to one discrete situation or item.
If usage consistently exceeds this in a way that undermines the purpose of the feature, Ana will raise it with the client directly and work out a reasonable arrangement.
6.6 Suspension
Falar-Falar reserves the right to suspend Lifeline access for a client who repeatedly misuses the feature after a first verbal or written notice. Suspension of the Lifeline does not constitute grounds for a refund, as coaching sessions continue unaffected.
7. The Online Squad — Cohort Composition
The Online Squad is capped at a maximum of 6 students per cohort to ensure meaningful speaking time for all participants.
- Once a cohort begins, its composition is fixed. New students will not be added mid-cohort.
- If a student withdraws mid-cohort (see Section 3A), their place will not be filled for the remainder of that cohort. The remaining students continue on the original schedule.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Falar-Falar respects your privacy. Your personal information, contact details, and payment information will never be shared with third parties.
- Online Squad: By joining the Online Squad, you consent to sessions being recorded exclusively for the purpose of sharing with the other members of your specific cohort. These recordings are not used for public marketing or shared outside the cohort without your explicit written consent.
- Email list: By downloading any free resource from the Falar-Falar website, you consent to receiving the bi-weekly Falar-Falar newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
9. Right of Refusal
Falar-Falar reserves the right to terminate a client’s enrollment if the client exhibits disrespectful behavior, consistently fails to respect boundaries, or repeatedly misses payments. In such events, a prorated refund will be issued for any unused, prepaid sessions.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal.
